Tricks Classes
You
must be registered, have completed the online waiver found under Forms, and have paid in advance in order to participate in any class.
No day of class show ups are allowed. No drop-ins are allowed as it disrupts the classes. Questions about our classes are to be directed to obedience@wlaotc.com.
All classes are held at the Cheviot Hills
Recreation Center, on Motor Ave near Pico Blvd, in West Los Angeles.

Dogs will work to learn at least 10 tricks from the AKC Novice Trick Dog list. Dogs who have their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) only need 5 tricks for the Novice title! Every dog learns at their own pace. Your Dog is NOT guaranteed to earn the title, but will be given the opportunity to test for it during the last class of the session. |

To continue to work with and learn new tricks that can be applied to the intermediate level of tricks certifications with AKC. These levels are also wonderful opportunities for dogs doing therapy work with children. Requires completion of the Novice tricks class, a Novice tricks Title or approval of the trainer. On-going tricks levels with AKC. Tricks at this level can include tricks from eariler classes and many new skills. Check AKC website for additional options. Requires completion of the Intermediate tricks class, an Intermediate Tricks Title or approval of the instructor. Students wishing to continue to higher levels of tricks may participate in this class, working more indepently. Approval of the trainer is required. |
